Introduction
Welcome to the Your Script Produced! International Film Festival (“Festival”). These Official Rules, Regulations, Terms & Conditions (“Rules”) govern all submissions, participation, screenings, events, competitions, industry meetings, awards, promotions, and related activities associated with the Festival.
By submitting a film, television pilot, documentary, screenplay-related project, or any associated materials to the Festival, each entrant (“Submitter,” “Applicant,” “Filmmaker,” or “Rights Holder”) acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Rules.
The Festival reserves the right to interpret these Rules and resolve all matters not expressly covered herein in its sole and absolute discretion.
Festival Mission & Purpose
Your Script Produced! International Film Festival is dedicated to discovering, supporting, showcasing, and advancing independent filmmakers,
screenwriters, producers, directors, and content creators from around the world.
The Festival seeks to:
Highlight exceptional storytelling and cinematic achievement.
Promote emerging and established filmmakers.
Create opportunities for production, financing, distribution, and industry exposure.
Connect writers and filmmakers with producers, investors, distributors, agents, and entertainment executives.
Categories: Submissions are accepted in various categories, including but not limited to Feature Films, Short Films, Television Pilots, Documentaries, and Screenplays.
Age Requirement: Applicants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of submission. If applicant is under 18, parental or legal guardian consent is required.
Language Requirements: All non-English language films must include English subtitles. Screenplays, treatments, and written projects must be submitted in English.
Original Work: All submissions must be the original work of the applicant or the applicant must possess all necessary rights, licenses, clearances, and permissions. Projects that have been optioned, sold, or are in development must disclose their legal status upon submission.
Clearance & Rights: The Submitter warrants that they are the sole author, owner, or authorized representative of the project and possess full legal authority to submit the work. The Submitter is solely responsible for securing all clearances, licenses, releases, and permissions for music, performance, script, footage, trademarks, and intellectual property.
Indemnification: The Submitter agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Festival, its parent companies, affiliates, sponsors, partners, judges, staff, and representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, fees, and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to copyright infringement, trademark violations, music synchronization, right of privacy, or publicity claims.
Exhibition Rights: By submitting, the Submitter grants the Festival the non-exclusive right to screen, exhibit, showcase, broadcast, and promote the project during the designated Festival dates (November 14–15, 2026) and associated promotional preview events.
Disqualification, Technical Terms & Fees
Non-Refundable Fees: All submission fees, registration charges, and entry payments are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances, including project withdrawal, disqualification, technical failure, or change of festival formatting.
Disqualification: The Festival reserves the right to disqualify any submission, entry, or participant for non-compliance with technical parameters, failure to provide verified rights clearance, breach of code of conduct, or actions that compromise the security, operations, fairness, or reputation of the Festival.
FINAL FESTIVAL RESERVATION OF RIGHTS
The Your Script Produced! International Film Festival reserves the right to:
- Amend these Rules at any time.
- Interpret all Festival policies.
- Resolve disputes in its sole discretion.
- Refuse or revoke participation.
- Protect the Festival’s reputation, operations, programming, sponsors, and affiliated parties.
All matters not expressly addressed herein shall be determined solely by the Festival.

These Official Rules, Regulations, Terms & Conditions (“Rules”) govern all submissions, participation, screenings, events, competitions, industry meetings, awards, promotions, and related activities associated with the Festival.

FESTIVAL MISSION & PURPOSE
Your Script Produced! International Film Festival is dedicated to discovering, supporting, showcasing, and advancing independent filmmakers, screenwriters, producers, directors, and content creators from around the world.
The Festival seeks to:
– Foster professional development and collaboration within the entertainment industry.
– Highlight exceptional storytelling and cinematic achievement.
– Promote emerging and established filmmakers.
– Create opportunities for production, financing, distribution, and industry exposure.
– Connect writers and filmmakers with producers, investors, distributors, agents, managers, and executives.
– Support innovative feature films, documentaries, shorts, and television pilots.
FESTIVAL CATEGORIES
The Festival accepts submissions in the following categories:
- A. Feature Film: Narrative feature films. Minimum runtime: 80 minutes. Maximum runtime: 120 minutes. Open to all genres and sub-genres.
- B. Documentary Feature or Short: Documentary storytelling in feature or short format. Includes investigative, biographical, historical, educational, and social impact documentaries. Open to all subjects and themes.
- C. Short Film: Narrative, experimental, or proof of concept short films. Maximum runtime: 39 minutes. Open to all genres and sub-genres.
- D. TV Pilot: Episodic television pilots or proof-of-concept episodes. Open to scripted and unscripted television content.
The Festival reserves the right to determine the proper category for all submissions.

Submission fees are non-refundable under all circumstances. The Festival reserves the right to extend deadlines, reopen submissions, waive fees, or create additional submission windows at its sole discretion.
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for consideration:
- The submitter must own or control all legal rights necessary to submit and exhibit the project.
- The project must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- The submitter must have secured all music, image, likeness, trademark, screenplay, literary, archival, synchronization, distribution, and other required clearances. All music, footage, trademarks, and intellectual property used must be properly licensed.
- Foreign-language films must include English subtitles.
- Entrants under the age of 18 must have parental or legal guardian consent.
- Rough cuts and works-in-progress may be accepted at the Festival’s discretion.
The Festival reserves the right to reject projects containing defamatory material, hate speech, copyright infringement, or content promoting illegal activity.
PREMIERE STATUS & SCREENING POLICIES
The Festival may prioritize projects based on premiere status, including World Premiere, International Premiere, North American Premiere, U.S. Premiere, and Regional Premiere.
Projects that are publicly available online prior to the Festival may remain eligible, but such availability may affect programming consideration.
PRSUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Entrants must provide:
- Completed submission form
- Secure online screener link
- Synopsis and runtime
- Production credits and Director biography
- Poster, promotional materials, and trailer (if available)
- Contact information
Submitters are responsible for ensuring screener links remain active throughout the selection process. Incomplete submissions may be disqualified without refund.
JUDGING & SELECTION PROCESS
Submissions are reviewed by Festival programmers, screeners, jurors, advisors, and industry professionals.
Selection Criteria Include: Storytelling quality, cinematography, artistic merit, direction, acting performances, technical achievement, originality, audience appeal, production value, innovation, cultural impact, and commercial potential.
All decisions by the Festival and its juries are final and not subject to appeal. The Festival is under no obligation to provide feedback, notes, or explanations regarding selection or non-selection.
OFFICIAL SELECTION & EXHIBITION REQUIREMENTS
If selected, participants must comply with all Festival deadlines and deliver:
- Exhibition-quality screening copy (DCP, ProRes, or approved digital format).
- Backup screening materials.
- High-resolution artwork, trailer, updated credits, and press kit.
- Closed captions or English subtitles.
Failure to provide required materials by deadlines may result in removal from the program.
AWARDS & RECOGNITION
Awards may be presented across Feature, Short, Documentary, and TV Pilot categories, including:
- YSP’s “The Dreamer Award”
- Media Award
- Best Feature Film, Best Documentary, Best Short Film, Best TV Pilot
- Audience Award & Jury Awards
- Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Editor, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Producer
- Emerging Filmmaker Award
Awards may consist of trophies, certificates, cash prizes, production opportunities, industry meetings, and development opportunities.
RIGHTS, CLEARANCES & LEGAL WARRANTIES
The submitter represents and warrants that they possess all necessary rights and that the project does not infringe upon any copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.
The submitter agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Festival and its officers, directors, employees, sponsors, venue partners, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and attorney’s fees arising from breach of contract, copyright infringement, defamation, or third-party claims.
PROTECTIONS & LIABILITY LIMITATIONS
The Festival is not responsible for lost, damaged, corrupted, or delayed submissions, technical failures, projection errors, venue issues, or force majeure events.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Festival’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount of the submission fee paid. Under no circumstances shall the Festival be liable for indirect, consequential, punitive, or lost profit damages.
CODE OF CONDUCT
All participants, attendees, guests, and industry professionals must conduct themselves professionally. Harassment, discrimination, threats, abuse, intimidation, and disruptive conduct are strictly prohibited. The Festival reserves the right to remove any individual without refund for code of conduct violations.
CONFIDENTIALITY & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
While reasonable efforts are made to safeguard submitted materials, the Festival cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality. Submissions do not create a confidential or fiduciary relationship. Submitters acknowledge that similar ideas or concepts may already exist or be independently developed by festival representatives.
ARBITRATION & GOVERNING LAW
These Rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Los Angeles, California, USA. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Festival shall be resolved through binding arbitration. The parties waive the right to jury trial and participation in class actions.
